  • At least 3 years’ experience in a regulatory and legal and compliance environment.

Qualification Requirements

  • LLB degree (minimum)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identification of applicable legislation that the company needs to comply with and monitor the regulatory universe;
  • Develop a system to timeously identify changes in the regulatory environment and ensure that the company responds timeously to such changes;
  • Draft relevant risk mitigation plans to ensure compliance with legislation;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution;
  • Develop and implement an effective Compliance Program;
  • Develop and implement a training and monitoring Program;
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies (NCR,FSCA etc);
  • Assists in coordinating implementation of the company policies;
  • Coordinate the implementation of the company complaints procedure;
  • Facilitate reporting to Social & Ethics committee;
  • Identify new draft laws and policies which affect the company and prepare submissions to relevant structures on behalf of the company;
  • Identify policy issues which adversely affect B-BBEE and assist the company to create advocacy strategies in respect of such issues;
  • Assist the CRO and General Counsel with implementation of an effective Ethics Management program.
